I am an internationally educated nurse. I received my nursing education outside of Canada.
CARE Centre is an organization that assists internationally educated nurses to enter the nursing profession in Ontario. If you are an internationally educated health care professional, please contact Health Force Ontario for assistance.
I have the results of my assessment by the College of Nurses of Ontario
The College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) is the regulatory body of nursing in Ontario. You must apply to register with the CNO and received the results of that application prior to becoming a CARE member. Please visit the CNO website for more information.
I am a permanent resident of Ontario or I am a live-in-caregiver and I have already applied for permanent residency status in Canada.
A permanent resident is a Canadian citizen, or a landed immigrant or a Convention refugee. CARE Centre’s mandate allows us to provide services to permanent residents of Ontario and live-in-caregivers.
I have met the College of Nurses of Ontario English language fluency requirement OR I have achieved a minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 6 in Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing on an official Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment (CLBA)
If you have CLB 5, please visit our Language page for information about upcoming LINC for Nurses courses. If you have CLB 4 or lower, please contact Health Force Ontario for assistance. For more information about the College of Nurses of Ontario language fluency requirements, visit www.cno.org. For more information about the CLBA, visit www.language.ca.
Congratulations! Please attend an upcoming information session and visit our Join CARE section for more information.
