The CARE Centre strives to be exemplary in all its pursuits to empower internationally educated nurses to successfully enter the nursing profession in Ontario.
Mission Statement
The CARE (Creating Access to Regulated Employment) Centre for Internationally Educated Nurses:
- Recognizes that internationally educated nurses have valuable skills, education and experience
- Addresses institutional barriers to access and supports the integration and transition of internationally educated nurses into the Ontario Health Care System
- Recognizes that the diversity of our community requires nurses with diverse backgrounds, cultures and languages
- Embraces a client-centered approach and ensures that CARE participant’s needs are responded to in a direct, timely, sensitive and flexible manner
- Uses a” best practices” approach in service and program delivery and continues to improve and enhance existing services while avoiding duplication of services
- Embraces creativity and new approaches to learning and creates long term, sustainable impacts.
