IENs – get started
Are you an internationally educated nurse (IEN) currently residing in or planning to move to Ontario? CARE Centre for IENs is a bridge training program that can help you with your application to become registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Because we are a government-funded, not-for-profit organization as well as a registered charity, our main focus is your success! CARE Centre will guide you through the licensing process through a range of educational and workplace supports as you transition to practice as a registered nurse or registered practical nurse (RN or RPN).
We offer an assortment of custom programs and courses, like Language and Communication for Nurses, Exam Preparation and Review and Observational Job Shadowing. We also offer a variety of specialized workshops such as the Competency Assessment Supplement, Enhanced Communication Skills for the OSCE and Employment Strategies for Nurses. When you join CARE Centre with a one-time fee, you’re a member for life. You work one-on-one with your own case manager who will design a custom action plan to guide you on your journey to nursing in Canada — you can benefit from professional development and networking opportunities throughout your career. Please join us for an information session at our Toronto head office or one of our regional offices to learn more about how CARE Centre is there for IENs – and will be there for you too!
